LONG BONE FIXATION The Fixion Nails are inserted into the bone in a reduced diameter and, once positioned, are expanded within the medullary canal using pressurized saline solution. The expansion enables the Nail to adapt to the shape and diameter of the medullary canal for optimal rotational stability. The surgical procedure is minimally invasive. Operating time, as well as fluoroscopy exposure are significantly reduced.
PRODUCT RANGE
FIXION IM NAILS (INTRAMEDULLARY) An expandable, intramedullary nailing system that does not require interlocking screws for fracture fixation. These nails are available for humeral, tibial and femoral bones. Product details
FIXION IL NAILS (INTERLOCKING) An expandable, intramedullary nailing system indicated for proximal or distal fractures. Combines interlocking screws at the nail’s proximal end, and the ability to expand for optimal fixation. This nail is available for humeral, tibial (antegrade) and femoral (retrograde) bones. Product details
FIXION PF NAILING SYSTEM (PROXIMAL FEMUR) An expandable, intramedullary nailing system designed for the treatment of proximal femur fractures. It combines an expandable Nail for the femoral shaft with a dynamic expandable Hip Peg for stability within the femoral head. Product details
META-FIX NAILS (METACARPAL & METATARSAL) A percutaneous, expandable intramedullary nailing system for the treatment of metacarpal and metatarsal fractures. The Nail is supplied sterile, mounted on a disposable insertion assembly. Product details
FIXION DHP (DYNAMIC HIP PEG) A titanium expandable dynamic hip peg plate for treatment of fractures of the femoral head and neck. The oval shape of the Hip Peg enhances rotational stability, while the expansion of the peg increases bone mineral density around the peg, thereby reducing the risk of cut out. Product details
FIXION HIP SYSTEM (MH) Fixion MH Hemi-Hip System is a modular hemiarthroplasty system. It is composed of an expandable stem, which provides homogeneous load distribution along its length (press fit fixation); a neck of a conical stepped configuration that improves rotational resistance.
